Kids In Need (www.kidsinneed.org) is pleased to announce this year's special fundraiser, "Road To Remember". This event will serve to honor all of our fallen Police Officers, Firefighters and Military personnel and to NEVER FORGET the children they left behind.

Retired Police Lieutenant Veteran Marc DeLise will walk from Chicago to New York holding fund raising events along his route. He will depart from Chicago's Historic Firehouse #98 at 202 E. Chicago Avenue on June 21st and end his journey at the National September 11th Memorial and Museum in New York on September 11th, 2010.
After a 40 year police career, and now a Kids In Need executive, Marc has worked to organize this year's event in collaboration with associated Police, Firemen, Military and philanthropic agencies from across the nation.
Government money does not keep pace with the higher costs of living in years to come. The government providing for all the children of those who gave their lives to save lives is an unfortunate consequence. Now is the time and this is the place where you can help bridge the gap. Meeting the needs of the children left behind is our civic duty and a powerful way to show our thanks.
We need your help to make the Road to Remember a success! Please donate or register to hold a fund raising event along Marc's route today so that we can make sure these children have the protection, care, and opportunities of childhood they deserve.
The number of police, firefighters and military dependent children will shock you, over 1.1 million, nearly 86% age 11 or younger since September 11, 2001.
